12. How we share information

We share information only as needed to operate the Services and as described in this Policy. Recipients may include:

  • Service providers and processors that provide hosting, authentication, databases, cloud functions, payment processing, communications, analytics necessary for app operation, mapping, or similar infrastructure
  • Drivers and operational personnel assigned to fulfill a booking, who receive the information needed to complete pickup, charging coordination, and return
  • Payment processors that process transactions on our behalf
  • Professional advisors and insurers where reasonably necessary for claims, disputes, or risk management
  • Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • Successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and this Policy or a successor policy

Third-party providers process information under agreements and practices appropriate to their role. Their own privacy policies may also apply to their processing.

13. Third-party service providers and processors

Chercharge relies on third-party companies to help deliver the Services. These may include cloud hosting and backend providers, authentication providers, payment processors, mapping or location technology providers, and communications providers. We require providers that process personal information for us to use it only for the services they perform for Chercharge, except where they act as independent controllers under their own notices (for example, a payment processor handling card data).

14. Location data practices

Device location is requested only when relevant to app functionality such as identifying pickup or return locations, checking service availability, or coordinating eligible services. You may deny location permission and still use manual address entry where available. Chercharge does not require Always location access unless a clear production need exists and is disclosed at the time of the request. Location information associated with a booking may be retained as part of service records.

15. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, fulfill bookings, process payments, resolve disputes, improve safety and operations, and meet legal, tax, accounting, insurance, and regulatory requirements. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

16. Data security

Chercharge uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) for network communications, access controls, and secure storage practices appropriate to the data involved (including device keychain or equivalent secure storage for certain credentials where used). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

17. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to ask questions about our privacy practices. To make a privacy request, email chercharging@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where legally required or permitted.

Chercharge does not sell personal information. If you are in a jurisdiction that provides additional privacy rights, contact us and we will review your request under applicable law.

18. Account deletion and data deletion requests

You may request account deletion in the Chercharge app where available (for example, Profile → Settings → Privacy & Account → Delete Account), or by emailing chercharging@gmail.com.

Account deletion is not the same as logging out, uninstalling the app, removing a vehicle, or canceling a booking. When we delete an account, we delete or de-identify eligible personal data associated with that account, while retaining information we must keep for legal, payment, tax, fraud prevention, insurance, claim, or dispute purposes. Deleting an account may terminate nontransferable promotional benefits associated with that account, including Founding Access benefits where applicable.
